Cookies and browser storage
Last updated 15 October 2026
The portal does not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
It only stores what it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in. UK law, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, lets a site store things that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for without asking first. That is why you won’t see a cookie banner here. If we ever add anything that isn’t strictly necessary, such as analytics, it will stay switched off until you choose to allow it, with nothing ticked in advance.
Fonts and code libraries come from our own site, so no third party learns that you visited.
What we store
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-pxnuqckuqmioatqrqjxm-auth-token | Local storage | Keeps organisers and crew signed in. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase | Until you sign out. The sign-in inside it expires and renews itself while you use the portal |
cp-event | Local storage | Remembers which event you last had open in the admin view | Until you sign out or clear your browser |
cp-speaker-proto-v1, cp-proto-persona and the cp-speaker-proto database | Local storage and IndexedDB | The speaker page is still a prototype. Until file storage goes live, test files and details you enter stay in your own browser and are not sent to us | Until you reset the prototype or clear your browser |
__cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cookie | May be set by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, to tell people from automated attacks | 30 minutes for __cf_bm. Up to a few hours for cf_clearance |
Local storage and IndexedDB work like cookies but are never sent to a server on their own. Nothing above is shared with advertisers or used to follow you around the web.
Controlling storage
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block them the portal can’t keep you signed in, so you will need to sign in on every visit, and the speaker prototype won’t keep your test files. Signing out removes the sign-in from your browser.
